Why Your Card Might Get Blocked
Our fraud monitoring system watches for activity that's outside your normal patterns. If you suddenly start using your card in a new city or a different country, the system may flag it as suspicious and block the transaction to protect you. That's a good thing — unless it's actually you.
How to Set a Travel Notice
You can notify us of your travel plans by calling us at (830) 792-1950 during business hours. Just let us know your destination and the dates you'll be traveling, and we'll make a note on your account.
What to Bring
Even with a travel notice on file, it's smart to travel prepared:

- Have the lost/stolen card number handy: (800) 500-1044
- Consider bringing a backup card or some cash
- Enable account alerts so you can monitor transactions in real time
International Travel
If you're traveling outside the United States, it's especially important to notify us in advance. International transactions carry a higher risk of being flagged, and it can be more difficult to resolve a blocked card when you're overseas.
