In 2007, a group of local business leaders asked a simple question: why doesn't the Hill Country have a bank that actually belongs to it?
The big banks had branches here, sure. But decisions were made in distant cities by people who'd never driven Highway 16 or watched the Guadalupe River rise after a spring rain. Local business owners deserved better. Local families deserved better.
So nearly 100 neighbors pooled their resources. Together, they raised the capital to build something different. On March 17, 2008, Guadalupe Bank opened its doors.
We've been here ever since.
